The Advisory Service for International Relations (ARIN) is linked to the Presidency of Embrapa. ARIN is responsible for:

  • Support the development of the institutional relationship and cooperation strategy at the international level, aligned with the State policy and Embrapa guidelines.
  • Advise the Board of Directors on the implementation of corporate strategies related to international institutional relationship and cooperation.
  • Guide and support managers of Central and Decentralized Units in implementing international cooperation actions.
  • Articulate international cooperation actions aligned with the guidelines of State policy and Embrapa.
  • Coordinate the performance and definition of institutional positions at the international level, as well as support the Brazilian government in conventions, agreements, protocols, treaties, commissions, and global forums.
  • Coordinate and guide negotiation activities with government bodies regarding international loans and financial agreements.
  • Define, with areas of interest, strategies and guidelines for meeting demands for international technical and scientific cooperation with the private sector.
  • Define, guide, and monitor, within the scope of the Decentralized Units, the role of the international coordinator as a fundamental actor in the implementation and monitoring of international cooperation activities in the Units.
  • Articulate, guide, and participate, with the Board of Directors and Embrapa Units, in the preparation of project proposals to be submitted to international funding agents.
  • Promote and publicize actions in the international area with Centralized and Decentralized Units and national and international partners.
  • Coordinate and define guidelines for the corporate process for short-term leaves from the country.
