BRS SCS Belluna is a banana cultivar with differentiated nutritional qualities. The fruits are rich in fiber and have lower carbohydrate and caloric contents when compared to the fruits of the most commercialized subgroups in the country, Prata and Cavendish. BRS SCS Belluna is resistant to yellow Sigatoka and Fusarium wilt and moderately resistant to black Sigatoka, the main diseases that cause damage to banana plantations in Brazil and worldwide. It is indicated for both fresh and processed consumption, especially in the form of flour and raisins (dehydrated banana).
